GENDER INCLUSIVE SIGNAGE

In 2021, Creative Integration Initiative embarked on an initiative to develop artist designed restroom signage. We have since worked with two Denver based artists in the trans community to develop inclusive signage.

These signs have been installed in the Denver Metro Area through the generous support of grant funding from Denver Arts and Venues.

Reach out to us to inquire about installing this signage in your venue. Signs are designed and installed including all ADA specifications. Signs can be adapted to include different languages, languages, and pictograms as needed.

Thank you to Denver Arts and Venues for their generosity in providing seed funding for the designs and pilot production and installation through a Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion grant.

“Gender-inclusive restrooms in public places are crucial for fostering a more inclusive and equitable society. By providing safe and welcoming spaces for people of all gender identities and expressions, we promote dignity and respect for everyone. These restrooms recognize the diverse nature of human identity and eliminate the discomfort and discrimination faced by transgender and gender non-conforming individuals. These facilities create a more inclusive environment, help break societal stigmas while creating and embracing safety where everyone can access necessary facilities without
fear of judgment or harassment. They challenge gender norms and push social progress towards a society that values acceptance.” - Alex
